Mom and Dad,
Everything is going well! Just continuing to work hard and just
trying to find new people to teach because the ones we are teaching are
at a stand still except for one! Our progressing investigator is Leo,
who got out of Rehab about a month and a half ago. He's basically down
to listen to anything about God and is working towards his baptism on
the 29th! Just hoping that he'll continue to have this fire. Other than
that not much has changed.. Just doing the same old thing... The members
aren't very helpful here... The branch mission leader does pretty much
nothing so it's been a struggle to get members involved. We have still
been working with the Less Active families. It's just a matter for them
of coming to church now. We'll continue to fellowship and visit them but
we can't do much more until they make an effort to go to
church.
I got the package... I'll be sending another photo card home soon
for you! That's cool Adacy is going to Indiana. I have a friend serving
there from the MTC his name is Elder Garrison Smith! But he's English
speaking. I found out Carson was going to Mexico awhile ago while I was
in Hamilton Mill.. We had a member move in from South Weber who was
actually Carson's YM's President! Small world right?? But anyway, not
too much is new here.. Thought I would tell you I have over 60 ties
now.. That's exciting!:) But hope all is well! Love you!

Missionary story huh... Well this is about the best one I can think
of right now.. We were going to follow up with a contact named Leslie
and when we went to her house we actually ended up talking to her mom
because Leslie wasn't home.. We taught the restoration out on the front
porch and had a great opportunity to testify of the prophet Joseph
Smith... But just like everyone else down here... All that thety say
they can and ever will believe in is the Bible, so she wouldn't take the
Book of Mormon but said we're welcome to come back anytime and talk
about religion with her! That's about how everyone here is... Really
nice people just blinded by things of the world and their church. It's
getting hard and even harder just to stay motivated but all you can
really do is keep trying!
