It was a good
week for us! There are 2 missionaries in the ward that are going home
this week and so last monday we decided to go tanning and get rid of
some of our tan lines! It was a lot of fun! The person at the place said
they have never seen so many guys walk into the place at the same time!
Haha! Tuesday we went and I played and sang at an open mic night at a
restuarant on the square called Rocky's! It was a lot of fun! One guy
came up to us after and talked to us and wants to get together and play
sometime. His name is Bart. He's met with missionaries before and get
this.. He has the Savior visiting the Americas tattooed on his back!
Totally crazy! He believes in The Book of Mormon and has read it from
cover to cover. His only hold up is organized religion.. So we'll be
getting together soon and we'll do our best to help him understand that!
He's an amazing guy! And the sisters are teaching one of his friends so
we'll get together with them and see what we can do to get them both
going!
Wednesday we were at the Church Youth night hoping to catch one of our
investigators Elizabeth there but instead we talked to a new
investigator named Deborah. Deborah is a sister of a Less Active member
in the ward and she brought her two sons to the church Wednesday night!
She's awesome! She loves the church and used to attend regularly! She
told us that she wants to get back into it, but she lives in Thomaston
so we'll be handing her off to the Elders down there. We also had the
Ward Thanksgiving activity this week! That was a lot of fun! There were a
lot of investigators for the ward that showed up! It was a great
activity for fellowship! We did our best to try and get our
investigators to church but it was to no avail. However, we had promises
that they would be there next week so we'll continue to follow up and
remind them of their comittment!
I love ya'll and hope everything is going good this week! Can't wait to see ya in a couple weeks!:)
ELDER BOMAN
p.s. I'll be sure to do that! Hope he gets feeling better!
