Mom,
All is going well! Things are definitely progressing with our Less
Active families! This week the focus was mostly on getting reacquainted
with our investigators. We met with Alton and Sis Seagraves! Alton has
been struggling.. Very busy in looking for a job! But he's doing all
that he can and doing his best to do so! Sis Seagraves has been helping
out her daughter who was in a pretty severe car accident! But she's been
recovering and also reading from the book of Mormon!
We had Zone
Conference this week and I was asked to give a 3-4 minute talk on one of
the questions of the soul from the Book of Mormon! I spoke on the
question,"Is There Life After Death." I shared an experience when I was
going through a hard time when Grandpa passed away and in seminary we
read from Alma 40. Verse 11 stuck out to me the most because the phrase
that is in there that says, "they return home to that God who gave them
life.." Just the simple word "home" in that
sentence was so significant to me that I felt at peace! Home is a place
where all feel comfortable and the people there are happy! But we
talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon and how we need to
present it to our investigators.. Just because we're in the Bible belt,
doesn't mean we need to preach from the Bible. Everyone knows about the
Bible. We need people to come to know of the truthfulness of the Book of
Mormon so they can feel the peace and happiness that comes from it!
Sounds like it was a really fun vacation! (The family went to Bear Lake this week...)
