Brooke,
All is well here! Just been working hard. Elder I is good! He's a
funny kid! He speaks really good English, especially for only speaking
it for 13 months! He just forgets to use transition words sometimes and
it makes it pretty funny when he talks! He speaks two other languages,
french, and Madagassy. So we occasionally speak french back and forth
and he teaches me how to say things so I'm learning French which is
cool! He made Chicken Wings the other day! They were super good! I'll
have to make some when I get back for ya'll!
Everything with our investigators are going well.. Author gave us
his Cigarettes and said that he's done smoking because he had a friend
recently quit. He said if he can quit so can I! It's amazing what an
example can do! And Antoine is doing well! He's progressing towards his
baptisimal date Nov. 3! His brother Terrell who is a recent convert will
most likely be the one performing the ordinance! That'll be really good
for him! But as far as investigators go, that's about all we have down
here that are progressing. Had to drop a couple this week because they
weren't keeping comittments. We visit a lady in the Nursing home named
Mildred Cox! She's such a sweet lady! She's going to teach me how to
play Canasta on wednesday and so that should be exciting!
For Halloween we have to be in a members home or at home by 6:30!
We're going to a members to hand out candy so that should be fun! The
branch is doing a trunk or treat with a chili cook off this weekend and
we were dubbed the judges so we'll see how that goes.. Especially
because Elder I doesn't like spicy food at all! Haha! We're just going
to switch nametags for our costumes! Should be a good one!
Hope all is going well for ya'll! Miss you! Hope you have a great week! Love you!
ELDER BOMAN
