Weekly Email - 10/7/13

Things are going well. I got a new companion last tuesday! A lot quicker than i thought! His name is E. Hoeft but he'll be transferred Wednesday and I'll get another new companion. Not too much happened this week. We got Jamal to come to the Priesthood session of conference and he's working toward a baptismal date for the 26th of October! I think he should be able to make that date. He's got some WOW things and possibly Law of Chastity things he needs to work on but besides that, he's got the desire to change and if we continue to teach with the spirit, He'll be good to go!

I talked to Sis Stout and she said she wouldn't want us to stay anywhere else! She's awesome! So we'll be staying there! Don't worry about coming up with an agenda! If there's anything i've learned on my mission it's how to plan days effectively!

Conference was great and a little bit of a reality check. Reason being is one, it was the last one i'll have on the mission field. And two, They talked a lot about things that i'll need to be focusing on when I get home.. So if you could be asking around about Jobs that would be great!:) My favorite talk was E. Uchtdorfs, Come and Join With Us. But my favorite quote was from E. Jeffrey R. Holland who said, "If the Bitter Cup will not pass, Drink it, and be strong." Sometimes hard times come and we just need to man up and get moving because that's when the biggest opportunities we have to grow and develop Christ-like Attributes such as Patience, Humility, Charity and Love, and especially Faith and Trust in the Savior with a Hope that he will bless us as we are Obedient to his Commandments.
