Things
are going well! We've had a good week this week! We've found 8 new
investigators and now have 4 people with a baptismal date (These were
people who were invited to baptism and accepted if they knew it was
true). We won't really know how their intent is until we meet with them
again.
The miracle we saw this
week was with one of those people we found. His name is Jamal and is
Aunt Debby just got baptized Friday! We knocked on the door and told his
mom that we represent Jesus Christ and that we would like to leave the
Saviors peace and blessing on their home. She told us that we were here
to see here son (Jamal) and invited us in.
Jamal came out of his
room and we were talking. That's when we found out she was Debby's
Sister and a cousin of a Member named John Vaughn, who everyone in
Zebulon seems to know. She told us that she would support Jamal in
meeting with us and in joining the church if he choose to do so because
of the difference she's seen in Debby and John's lives. She however said
she couldn't join because she would feel sorry for her mother because
everyone was leaving that church to go to ours.
We then started teaching
them about the Restoration of the Gospel and talked about praying to
know if it's true. Jamal then expressed to us that he's met with
missionaries before and sees us around all the time. He took that as a
sign from God that This is what he needed to do. We testified that it
was and that it would change and bless his life forever. We then invited
him to be baptized and he accepted a baptismal date for Oct 12! He's
pretty legit and said he was going to do all he could to know by then!
I got my pants! They are
super comfy and I love them! They compliment my swag quite nicely!
