Weekly Email - 12/31/12

I don't have an email from Jeff for the 24th.  Maybe he didn't send one because we were going to talk to him on Christmas?  We loved hearing from him and seeing him on Skype!  He is loving his new area and having lots of success and getting along great with his companion.  I heard the best part of the call was seeing Jeff's face when he saw Kyle for the first time.  He has changed a lot and I think Jeff went into shock a little at seeing Kyle so grown up!

Here is Jeff's letter for December 31st....

Dad,
Things are going good here! We finally got in with Amber yesterday.. She's been busy with work and vacation! We have a couple appointments to go over there and teach this week plus a dinner appointment on saturday so that will be the focus to help her receive her answer! We had a great lesson with Ryan on Friday. He expressed interest in joining the church because the examples of members show being Christlike! He says he's never met nicer people than the people he's met in the Church. So we'll also be trying to get him a baptisimal date. He's really busy with school and such though.. He's studying to be a paramedic so it's been hard for him to make it to church because he goes to school and then works nights at Taco Bell.. John has had a busy week at work. He wants to meet with us Wednesday though and the Bishop said we can extend a baptisimal commitment to him if the spirit directs us to do so.. So we're trying to find more people to invite to baptize this week!

Christmas was a lot of fun! It was great to see and talk to ya'll! We ended up having a huge nerf war after we got off skype and then had dinner with Bro Posey who is a member of the ward the Torgersens had invited over for dinner. He lives alone and has had a stroke so he's out of work and really struggling lately. He's an awesome guy and we go over there once a week and read with him. We played Uno and he loved it a lot!

I got news that Author Price got baptized Saturday! That made me super happy!
